About the Guest:
JD Payne has served as a pastor for 19 years; he’s pastored in five churches in Kentucky and Indiana. He has a heart to see the gospel go to places where there is a need to hear it and has mentored numerous church planters over the years.
Presently, he is a Professor of Christian Ministry at Samford University in Alabama. He can be regularly heard on his podcast, Strike the Match, it is a resource for missions, innovation and leadership.
JD Payne is the author of over 10 books. His new book, Apostolic Imagination: Recovering a Biblical Vision for the Church's Mission Today, helps believers consider how apostolic imagination can benefit ministry.
His academic credentials include: a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Divinity degree in Missions, Evangelism and Church Growth and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Evangelism and Church Growth from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
